YEP NCR is Seeking a Treasurer!
YEP NCR is accepting applications for a volunteer leadership position of Treasurer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leadership team involved in environment issues with a network of 500 professionals in Ottawa and 2000 professionals across Canada.
YEP is a national organization of local well-established chapters. The National Capital Region of the chapter was launched in 2003 and facilitates connections between environmental professionals, allows them to share ideas, expand their networks, gain knowledge, and find jobs.
Treasurer responsibilities include:

Manage the YEP NCR bank account including monthly bills and cheques

Prepare a financial summary for each year for the Strategic Plan

Attend events to collect membership contributions
-
Attend bi-monthly management team meetings and provide financial updates
We are also always looking for volunteer Event Coordinators to:
Organize events (speaker, location, catering, communications)

Attend bi-monthly management team meetings
-
Contribute to brainstorming sessions regarding potential events and speakers

Youth Eco Internship Program
The Youth Eco Internship Program places people aged 15 to 30 from diverse backgrounds into paid internship opportunities within the non-profit and community services sector in Canada with a focus on the environment, community and women's services. These positions, offered in a wide range of organizations, will help young Canadians learn the skills required to gain and sustain future employment within the sector.
ECO Canada Environmental Youth Corp (EYC) Internship Program
ECO Canada offers post-secondary graduates the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the environmental profession. The program has seen tremendous success with over 90% of ECO Canada interns securing meaningful employment in the environmental profession upon completion of their internship.
