Events - CEP Calgary

Join us every second Wednesday of the month for our speaker series and networking events! These are a great opportunity to learn about what people and organizations are doing on the environmental front, as well as a chance to share a beer and good conversation with other CEP members.

Monthly Meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month after work from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and are hosted at WEST Restaurant and Bar, (225 7th Avenue SW, 2nd level, Aspen Room) unless otherwise posted. Most speaker events are free for members and $5 for non-members. All welcome!

Kicking off the New Year!

In February, join CEP as Oland (O.D.) Hansen, Manager, Communications, Regulatory and Technical Services with Aboriginal Pipeline Group (APG) speaks to us about building relationships with Aboriginal nations and peoples. We hope to see you there for this exciting event!:

Originally from Aklavik, NT, O.D. had served as both Councilor and Mayor of the Hamlet of Aklavik before moving to Alberta in 1992 to work for the Inuvialuit Petroleum Corporation (IPC). While with IPC, O.D. attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, graduating first with a diploma (with Honors) in Petroleum Engineering Technology, and then an Applied Degree in the Bachelor of Applied Technology course. O.D. then worked as General Manager of the Ikhil Gas Project, which brought natural gas to the town of Inuvik in 1999. O.D. has worked for various Energy companies based in Calgary, primarily in the role of Senior Consultation Advisor in Community and Aboriginal Affairs, and joined APG in January 2009
